Just a short drive from Ao Nang, there are several nearby golf courses. The most renowned and high-quality among these is the Pakasai Country Club. Other options include Hula-Hula Golf and the Phokeetara Golf, a par-3 course at the Sofitel Hotel, each offering scenic views of mountains, jungle, and waterways. The highest-quality courses, like Aquella Golf, Katathong Golf, and Rajjaprabha Golf, are a bit farther away but accessible within a 1-3 hour drive, with convenient transport services available.
The Pakasai Country Club, a popular 18-hole course about 40 minutes from Ao Nang, is naturally beautiful and suits players of all levels, providing both challenges and relaxed play. However, the course faces challenges in staff English proficiency, social media reach, and transport arrangements. Despite these, the overall value for money here is excellent.
For a truly premium golfing experience, Aquella Golf and Katathong Golf are excellent choices. Both courses accept reservations via social media and offer transport services, though the on-site transportation options can be pricey. The quality and experience of these courses are unparalleled, with both offering exceptional value.
Most courses also offer golf lessons, equipment rentals, and pleasant club restaurants where you can unwind after a game. It’s advisable to book rentals and transportation in advance.
